The March 9th episode of AEW Dynamite was a near perfect episode of the weekly wrestling program, which featured fast paced action, a huge debut, and a title change. Dynamite episodes can be up and down, but tonight in Fort Myers Tony Khan and the crew knocked it out of the park.

Results:

-Chris Jericho & Jake Hager turned their backs on the Inner Circle to form a new alliance with 2.0 & Daniel Garcia.

-(C) Hangman Adam Page retained the AEW World Title against Dante Martin.

-Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley w/ William Regal defeated the WorkHorseMen.

-Pac defeated Wheeler Yuta.

-AHFO votes Matt Hardy out of the group, Sting, Darby Allin and newly signed Jeff Hardy save Matt from the ambush.

-Wardlow declares AEW is officially his world.

-(C) Jurassic Express retained the AEW Tag Team Championships against the Acclaimed.

-Thunder Rosa defeated Leyla Hirsch to gain another opportunity to face Britt Baker next week in San Antonio in a Steel Cage match for the AEW Women’s Championship.

-Scorpio Sky defeated Sammy Guevara to win the TNT Championship.

Chris Jericho forms his new stable:

Chris Jericho opened the show by calling out Eddie Kingston to show his respect to him from their bout this past Sunday at AEW Revolution, but as they got done shaking hands 2.0 & Daniel Garcia come out and attack the two wrestlers. As the beat down is taking place, Santana & Ortiz come to make the save, until Jericho turns his back on his fellow Inner Circle members and reveals this was all a set up by him. Jake Hager comes down and acts confused on the events that are transpiring, until he fakes a clothesline at Jericho and hits his former teammate as well revealing he was in on the plan all along. The five members of Jericho’s new stable beat down Santana, Ortiz & Kingston and stand in unity after they are done.

William Regal Speaks:

This past Sunday Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson fought in a blood bath to earn one another’s respect and post match William Regal made his AEW debut to bring the two men together. Well tonight Sir Regal was at ringside for the contest and elected to do an interview post match with Tony Schiavone. During this interview he praised AEW but more importantly pointed out how important Danielson and Moxley are to the wrestling world, while giving them their flowers in the process. He also guaranteed he is there in AEW to help develop the younger talent and try to make as many wrestlers into the greatest version they possibly can be.

Jeff Hardy Debuts:

The AHFO had a meeting in the ring to decide their future as a team and if Matt Hardy would ultimately remain a member of the faction. Matt Hardy was denied further membership with the group and was attacked by his former stablemates. Sting and Darby Allin came down to try and make the save, but we’re quickly out numbered. As the three men were being beatdown a very well known Hardy Boyz theme starts playing and out comes Jeff racing to the ring. He clears the ring of the attackers and hits his signature Swanton Bomb before embracing Matt Hardy signifying the Hardy Boyz are back and in AEW.

A Championship Changes Hands:

Scorpio Sky and Sammy Guevara faced off in a hard hitting main event for the TNT Championship. Tables were destroyed, finishers were hit and two men went to war in the main event to determine who would walk out the AEW TNT Champion. Scorpio Sky was eventually able to out last Sammy after Sammy put himself through a table and hit Sky with the GTH. Scorpio was able to get the knees up when Sammy was attempting his signature splash from the top rope and hit Sammy with the TKO to secure the win and become the new AEW TNT Champion.

Overall, this was a hard hitting, fast paced episode of Dynamite which saw the company move on from the fallout of AEW Revolution and begin the new chapter that will carry us till May when we arrive at AEW Double or Nothing.
