All good things must come to an end. The curtains close, lights are turned off, and the crowd shuffles out of the theatre. Every act must come to a close, and after thirteen seasons, Alex Mack’s act has officially closed. Mack was a great center, and that in itself is hard to do. Combine that with only committing 42 penalties over his 13 seasons of play and you already have the mold for a consistently great center. Mack would never end up winning a Super Bowl (curse you, Tom Brady.) As unfortunate as this fact may be, it is the reality for many greats during their careers. Just ask Dan Marino. Here is a list of Mack’s accolades over his thirteen seasons.
Alex Mack Accolades
- 3x Second-Team All-Pro
- 7x Pro Bowler
- NFL 2010’s All-Decade Team
- 2009 All-Rookie Team
Whether a Cleveland Brown, Atlanta Falcon, or San Francisco 49er, it’s safe to say that that California kid would be proud of his older self today, and Alex Mack had an amazing career.
From all of us at Fantom Sports, Congratulations, Alex!
