Alex Stalock To Miss Season Due To Heart Condition

PC: Sports Forecaster

Alex Stalock just received some of the worst news possible. The Oilers goalie is going to miss the upcoming season due to myocarditis. This means he has heart muscle inflammation which can lead to cardiac arrest. Alex Stalock is 34 years old an has bounced around the league in his time in the NHL. Before being added to the Oilers taxi squad, he played for the Sharks, Leafs, and the Wild.

Stalock caught COVID-19 in November 2020 which is what revealed the condition. This is not good news especially since all time great Henrik Lundqvist has to announce his retirement due to a heart issue. We can only hope that this is not the same result Stalock will have. This is a developing story and we will provide more information if or when we can.
