After a tough fought road loss to Boston on Wednesday. The Blues added three to their Covid list. With the changes in the policy, they will follow the CDC guidelines and be away from the team for 5 days. The Blues announced Thursday morning that forward Vladimir Tarasenko, and defensemen Scott Perunovich, and Jake Walman. Presuming that their tests took place Thursday morning, all three players should be clear to return on January 11th. Just in time to get some practice in before facing off against the Seattle Kraken at home on Thursday the 13th.
They will certainly miss Tarasenko over the next two games against the Washington Capitals and Dallas Stars. Tarasenko is currently on a 6 game point streak including 2 games being 3 points. His goal during the Winter Classic helped carry the team to a big victory too. This has been one of his most productive seasons after dealing with injuries the past few seasons. Perunovich hasn’t been much of a point-getter but has been an impressive rookie defenseman. His blue line play has kept him in the lineup for 18 games thus far this season. Walman has been helpful to the Blues while covering the blue line as well.
As of right now, the team is yet to release who they’re bringing up from the taxi squad.
The team also announced Thursday that Nathan Walker has been assigned to the AHL team the Springfield Thunderbirds.
