Breaking news from the Detroit Red Wings, covid hits the Red Wings hard. In a statement released by the team Saturday morning on their social media, they added three players and two coaches days after putting two players on covid protocol.
The team is now down 5 players and two coaches. As of right now, the NHL is yet to comment on their game scheduled for Saturday evening against the New Jersey Devils. The Devils have had their fair share of covid cases in recent history but did play against Las Vegas a couple nights ago. It is presumed that the emergency call-ups to fill the positions will allow the game to go on.
