When the Titans fired Mike Vrabel, it caught some off guard. It’s not like Vrabel had done a bad job in Tennessee over the last six years. He had led them to the playoffs three straight times in those years. Though, it appears that the Titans are set to hire Brian Callahan as their next head coach according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Titans enter the offseason with some questions. Do they bring All-Pro Running Back Derrick Henry back? Do they move forward with Will Levis at Quarterback? All of those questions may be answered soon enough by the former Bengals offensive coordinator.

Brian Callahan has been one of the top rising coaches in the NFL, the Titans are set to make him a head coach at 39 years old. Though, not the youngest coach in the NFL, Callahan has quite the impressive resume. He got his start with the Denver Broncos and was on a staff that won Super Bowl 50. He served in various roles through 2015. From there he would go on to be the Quarterbacks coach for the Detroit Lions, working with Matthew Stafford during two of his best season in Detroit. He would go from there to the Las Vegas Raiders before becoming the Offensive Coordinator in Cincinnati.

Over the years he has worked with some of the leagues top quarterbacks: Peyton Manning (Denver), Stafford (Detroit), Derek Carr (Las Vegas), Joe Burrow (Cincinnati). While with the Bengals, Callahan helped establish an offense that won two AFC North Division championships and made a Super Bowl appearance in 2021.
