Brook Lopez re-signs deal with Milwaukee

The center position has been very limited coming into free agency. Teams have had a very slim picking, with Naz Reid and Nikola Vucevic re-signing with their respective teams that number has gotten smaller. Mark it up that another center is gone. Brook Lopez is re-signing with Milwaukee.

Lopez brings championship experience. Ideally, he would prefer to play in Seattle. There’s only one problem…Seattle doesn’t have a team.

The closest Lopez would be able to get is Portland, which is about three hours south. Where, his younger brother Robin Lopez played for two seasons. Many teams have been reported to have interest including the Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets. The Milwaukee Bucks have also been in the mix as favorites to re-sign the big man.

Over the course of his career, Lopez has become one of the best three-point shooting bigs in the NBA. In 2022-23, he attempted 364 shots from beyond the arc and made 37.4%. He also averaged 15.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. Now, Brook Lopez is returning that terrific outside shooting and rim protecting to Milwaukee.
