Rams running back Cam Akers has suffered a torn achilles while training. He will miss the upcoming season. Akers emerged as the top back for the Rams in 2020. Akers had 145 carries for 625 yards and two touchdowns in the regular season. He also added 11 catches for 123 yards and one touchdown. In the postseason, Akers added 221 rushing yards. Darrell Henderson and Jake Funk are now in line for more carries.
