The Arizona Wildcats have reason to celebrate after landing one of the top high school basketball recruits in the country in Carter Bryant. Bryant’s commitment to the Wildcats is a major coup for the program, and it sets Arizona up for success on the court in the coming seasons. With his impressive skills on the court, it’s no surprise that Bryant was one of the most sought-after high school basketball recruits in the country.
The 6-8, 225-pound Bryant played at Sage Hill School in Riverside, California, and is ranked #4 in the 2024 class. With his towering height and impressive stats, there’s no doubt that Carter Bryant is an excellent addition to the Arizona Wildcats squad. He announced his decision on 247Sports livestream that attracted 1,600 viewers.
Via 24/7 Sports Live Stream:
“I felt like it was the best program for me from the aspect of the person that I am,” Bryant said. “I felt it fit me the most on and off the court.”
The future Wildcat had narrowed his options to Arizona or Louisville, but ultimately chose Arizona for its amazing program and the connection he felt with the coaching staff.
“The coaching staff has coached at multiple levels, whether that’s high school, college or the pro level, even overseas,” Bryant said Wednesday. “The players they’ve had in the past … I know their development is some of the best in the country. So I know that … when I get there, I’m gonna get better.”
The Wildcats Still Have Work To Do After Carter Bryant Signing
While the addition of Carter Bryant to the Arizona Wildcats squad is certainly exciting for fans and players alike, it’s important to remember that there is still work to be done. Bryant won’t join the team for another year and the Wildcats currently only have seven players on their roster.
Arizona has had a tough Spring recruiting season, losing out on a few key prospects. Creighton transfer Ryan Nembhard decided to commit to Gonzaga. All-American Azoulas Tubelis declared for the NBA draft, leaving the Wildcats in need of a replacement. Pelle Larsson, a staple piece on the team, has also entered the draft tentatively.
Despite some setbacks during this Spring recruiting season for the Wildcats, the announcement of Carter Bryant’s commitment to Arizona is a major win for the team. It is the biggest move and will kick off what looks to be a crucial summer for the Wildcats.
