Cody Rhodes was released by WWE in May 2016. He has since, spent the following six years honing his craft and becoming the well-oiled machine he is today. Most of that has come in his time with All Elite Wrestling. Add Cody Rhodes being undefeated in his WWE return to the story.
Rhodes, the son of WWE Hall of Famer ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes, has been a man on a mission since his return to WWE. He is now identified as ‘The American Nightmare’ and is undefeated in his return. When you look at all of his matches over the past year, Cody Rhodes is undefeated, with a record of 33-0. That record shows no signs of slowing soon.
While he’s had some big wins over wrestlers like Kevin Owens, Austin Theory, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and more. Even with a torn pec in the middle of the year, Rhodes has wrestled in 31 singles matches, 1 six-man tag team match, and the Royal Rumble. Rhodes has not allowed anyone or anything to defeat him, not even the torn pec.
As ‘The American Nightmare’ has his eyes set on “Finishing the Story” at WrestleMania. His eyes are turned to Roman Reigns, who has not lost a match in two years. However, he’s got some matches leading up to the main event on the grandest stage of them all.
By the time, he comes face-to-face with Reigns, Rhodes could be nearly 50-0. The 2023 Wrestlemania already looks to be the best in quite some time, but with two undefeated streaks on the line in the main event. It could be more dynamic, something never seen before, or at least in some time.
Rhodes has vowed to bring a title back to the ‘Royal Family’ that is the Runnels (Rhodes) family. Will Cody Rhodes stay undefeated? It sure seems that way. Deservedly so.
