College Basketball Pre-Season Power 30

College Basketball Power 30 pre-season, as college basketball is right around the corner here are some teams to look out for. As there are going to be a lot of teams with a lot of expectations as there will be a lot of excitement around this basketball season. Here are my top 30 teams to look out for this season.

Top 1-10

  1. Kentucky

Number one on my list may be a surprise to some people, but Oscar Tshiebwe will be returning for the Cats this year. Also when you pair Sahvir Wheeler and CJ Fredrick who are three great veteran players this team could make a deep run in March.

2. North Carolina

The Tar Heels went to the championship game last season and return almost their entire lineup. Nance and Washington will be an upgrade over Brady Manek in the forward position, if this group stays healthy they will definitely be a big favorite to win the ACC.

3. Gonzaga

With Chet Holmgren and Andrew Nembhard gone, the Zags will rely even more heavily on Timme, Watson, and Strawther. Malachi Smith (the transfer from Chattanooga, who is a very good scorer), Bolton, Harris, Hickman, and Sallis. Should form a great back-court. With this back-court, they should be able to make a deep run in march.

4. Houston

If Houston can stay healthy, it has everything needed to win a title, the Cougars defend superbly. They return a lot of veteran talents in the frontcourt and backcourt. Then add in a five-star recruit in Jarace Walker, who will have the luxury of picking and choosing his moments. This team will be tough to beat this year.

5. Duke

Another year, another Duke team with overwhelming future NBA talent. Lively, Filipowski, Mitchell, Whitehead, Proctor, and Schutt could all eventually play in the NBA. Whitehead and Lively are the presumptive lottery players, and both are great prospects. With the talent on this team, this team is definitely a favorite to win the ACC and even the National Championship.
