As The week one Rankings conclude, there are a lot of top teams who struggled in Week one. Ohio State and Oklahoma barley got by North Carolina fell victim of the first upset. However Virginia Tech pulled it off in Blacksburg, their are also some teams that I think made a strong case like Iowa, Cincinnati and Texas A&M . This next week is going to be interesting as teams try to make an early case. Below is my top 10 playoff teams after week one.
1. Alabama
I don’t think their should be an argument on who should be number one after that dominating performance. Alabama put on a show. Saturday Against Miami as Bryce Young really shined as he removed any doubt in anybody’s mind.About him starting this year. For Instance, As they were a lot of haters saying. For Example,Because he was a freshman he would not be ready for SEC football. In other words, at the end of the day you can say all you want about Alabama. But how improved their defense looked against Miami. Alabama is by far the best team in the nation.
2. Georgia

Georgia’s defense looked like the best Georgia defense I have seen in recent time. For instance, Georgia shut down Clemson Saturday night 10-3 in a game that didn’t have an offense touchdown. Georgia looks like one of the best teams in the nation right now. For instance, did you like how I said now Georgia has been so inconstant over the last couple of years. In the Kirby Smart era its been crazy right when you think they have a great shot at the playoffs. The last couple of years teams like Florida, and South Carolina have beat them and stoped any conversation about them making the playoffs. So its going to be something to see if Georgia can keep the gas on the pedal each week.
3. Ohio State

Ohio State didn’t look too promising against Minnesota, but a win is a win. Next week Ohio State has a big test against Oregon as the 11 team in the nation looked good against Fresno State. I have Oregon as my ultimate underdog next week as I think Oregon pulls it off. But I would not be surprised if Ohio Sate found a way to win.
4. Oklahoma- Week one Rankings
Oklahoma Football: OU underwhelms in 40-35 win over Tulane- Crimson and Cream Machine
Rounding out the top 4 is Oklahoma, they also didn’t look great against Tulane. But a win is a win, but Spencer Rattler just has to play better in the future. I don’t know if the Heisman hype got to him the first game. But he did not look no where near as dominate as he did last year. As Oklahoma still has a long season with tough opponents. They are still 4th in the week one rankings, but they still have to play Iowa State, and Texas who are two tough opponents.
5-10 Rankings In week one Rankings
5-Texas A&M, 6-Cincinnati, 7-Noter Dame, 8-Iowa Sate, 9-Clemson, 10-Penn State
Possible sleepers in the playoff
Iowa, UCLA, Oregon, Texas, Ole Miss, Costal Carolina
