Conference championship weekend bets are upon us and before I continue, let me just say I have been outstanding picking winners so far. I sit currently at 6-2 this playoff season. Now the funny part about that is I miss the first game each time and nail the rest. Let’s equate that to other things. Baseball, I am batting .750 which is great. In school I am only a C student which is not the best. If I was a tight rope walker, I am hitting the ground first and then getting back up and making it across each time after. Hopefully I am crossing the street on a tight rope and not the Grand Canyon but I tend to focus on the positive so WOOHOOOOO, hitting .750…. So how about we fire up the picking machine for the final two games before the big one.
Bengals vs Chiefs (-7.5) O/U 54.5
This seems to be the easier pick of the two so if you have to bet the farm, choose this game. The Chiefs should win easily. Now I know what you are thinking because I am also thinking the same thing, I said that last week about the Titans beating the Bengals and I was wrong. I missed that one so badly that if I was a paid bookie, I would be filing for unemployment while working at three fast food places to make ends meet.
But fear not, the Chiefs beat a superior team who was Buffalo. Meanwhile, the Bengals gave up 9 sacks. If I am Joe Burrow, I am buying my offensive linemen sunscreen this week and throwing them at them yelling “PROTECTION!!!!!” Arrowhead will be loud, Mahomes will be great, and the Chiefs are going to back-to-back to back Super Bowls. I know that most of America is cheering for the Bengals but pencil the Chiefs as the winners and the AFC representative.
Pick: Chiefs -7.5 and the over.

49ers vs Rams (-3.5) O/U 45.5
Remember, I am a Niners fan so this is all heart talking but I am going to give you a couple of rules to apply to this game. I will set the record straight right now; I am all in the Niners naturally but I am going to explain why this is a bad pick for me.
1. The Niners have won 6 in a row over the Rams. They have beaten Goff four times and Stafford twice. Remember my rule, stay away from streaks, because it will end badly.
2. It is hard to beat a team three times in one year in football. The last time it happened was in 2009 when the Cowboys beat the Eagles in the Wildcard game. We know how well that has worked out for the Cowboys. The only thing the Niners have going for them is they are playing with house money. No one (including me) ever expected them to be playing the NFC title and a trip to the Super Bowl. Having said that….
Pick: Niners +3.5 and the Over
Well, there are my Conference Championship Bets for the week, take them, leave them, laugh at them. I am also playing with house money. Good luck this weekend and remember, bet small, win big and make good choices.
