Corbin Carroll is Setting the NL West Ablaze

The Arizona Diamondbacks are having one of their best seasons in years thanks to their stacked offensive performance so far. As a team, they currently ranked top three in almost every offensive category in the National League. While the team is over performing all around, there is one player in this Diamondbacks lineup that might be the best player in baseball. That player is Corbin Carroll

In 2023 Corbin Carroll is batting.303/.384/.591 with a league-leading .975 OPS. He also currently carries 16 home runs and 40 runs batted in with 19 stolen bases.

Corbin Carroll is becoming one of the most electrifying players to watch on a baseball field and is showing no signs of slowing down. And that is meant quite literally. Carroll is one of the fastest players in all of baseball, falling in the 99th percentile of the fastest players in the MLB. He is so fast that on a double back in April, he reached 30.3 miles per hour around the bases.

This excellent premier in his rookie year has led to a stellar candidacy for not only the Rookie of the Year award, but the Most Valuable Player award as well. The National League is being led by two players right now in offensive statistics. One of these players being Corbin Carroll and the other player being Ronald Acuna Jr.. If Carroll is able to finish off the season as strong as he started, he will become the first player to win both awards in the same season since Ichiro Suzuki in 2001.
