The Miami Dolphins have signed Calais Campbell to a one-year deal as they look to rebuild their defensive line after losing Christian Wilkins. The 38-year old defensive end arrives in Miami following another impressive season with the Atlanta Falcons.
Miami Homecoming
Born in 1986 in Denver, Colorado, Campbell attended the University of Miami as a defensive end for the Hurricanes. His outstanding play led to his selection by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
NFL Career
During his illustrious NFL career, Campbell has established himself as one of the premier defensive linemen in the league. Standing at a towering 6-feet-8 inches tall and weighing 300 pounds, he possesses a rare combination of size, strength, and athleticism that has made him a nightmare for opposing offenses. Campbell’s prowess on the field is not limited to his physical attributes. His football IQ, leadership qualities, and work ethic have also contributed to his success.
Throughout his tenure with the Arizona Cardinals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Baltimore Ravens, Campbell has amassed numerous accolades, including six Pro Bowl selections and one First Team All-Pro honors.
