Star Racing Yamaha’s Dylan Ferrandis clinched this seasons 450 MX title a round early. This past Saturday at Fox Raceway he went 1-2 on the day for second overall. The second place day was enough for him to go ahead of Ken Roczen in the points to clinch the championship a round early. Dylan Ferrandis was able to have success in his 250 career on Star Racing. He won two supercross titles and one motocross title. And now his 450 career couldn’t have started off better. The french rider will know go into the last round with zero pressure to win. Following that he will just be looking forward to supercross as he was not selected for team France this year at Motocross of Nations. The final round this season is Saturday September 11th at Hangtown.

On To Supercross

Because of this win, Dylan Ferrandis will have a ton of confidence going into supercross. He earned this title. A few riders like Chase Sexton and Christian Craig sustained injuries. But for the most part the field was healthy. After this season, Ferrandis has every reason to go into supercross confident that he can be on the podium each and every weekend. I’m sure he like the rest of us can not wait until Anaheim 1. January 8th, is round one, so let the countdown begin.

One monkey wrench that could cause issues is the arrival of Eli Tomac. Yamaha will welcome the three time mx champion and former supercross champion to their team this upcoming season. In the past supercross has had some pretty spicy moments between teammates competing for the title. Cooper Webb and Marvin Musquin made it a habit during the 2019 season. Could we be in store for some more drama? One could hope. Supercross drama makes for some good racing, which is what we all want to see in the end. If these two do end up battling it out for the title, grab your popcorn cause it will be a good show.
