This was a wild game, as the Eagles narrowly beat the Colts 17-16 in Indianapolis. With both sides needing the win this week, this ended up being a huge game. The Eagles find themselves at 9-1 after the win, while the Colts fall to 4-6-1.

After scoring on the first drive, the Colts commanded the lead for the majority of the game. Up until the last minute or so, the Colts led and controlled the game. Matt Ryan did a good job of no turnovers and had a few huge passes. Jonathan Taylor had a good day on the ground as well. The Colts missed a 50 yard field goal in the second half that ended up being the difference in the game. The big issue with this Colts team is efficiency. There feels like there are so many drives where they look amazing for it to end in three or even a punt. The Colts did show promise today however. While they did lose, the Colts were beating an 8-1 team for almost the whole game.

When it comes to the rest of the season, the Colts still have a chance for the wildcard. If they can win all but one or two of their last games, there’s a chance this team might squeak into the playoffs. This is a weird situation for the Colts. They are at the weird spot where their season is over or they can potentially win a playoff game. The defense has been playing really well for the Colts. If the offense can find a way to be more efficient and score a few more points, they just might make some magic. They have a game against the Steelers next week on Monday night football. This game is a must win for the Colts to keep the season and playoff hopes alive.

The Eagles had a shock to the system this game against the Colts. The Eagles looked awful and could not put any drives together without issues. Overall, the Eagles maybe had two to three good drives, but that’s all they needed to win the game. Coming in as eight point favorites before the lines moved, this team just looked off Sunday. Jalen Hurts had a few good plays here and there, but he almost seemed out of it. The defense did a really good job keeping them in the game. The defense forced the Colts to kick field goals all day other than the opening drive. For the final drive as well, the defense of the Eagles gave Matt Ryan no chance to do anything. This was a good win for the Eagles, and back to back losses might have messed them up psychologically.

Now with a win after the slip up against the Commanders, the Eagles can focus on a Sunday night matchup against the Packers. The main focus this team needs to work on is defending the run game. The last two weeks have been tough for them against the ground game. They need to shut down the run game going into Sunday. The way Aaron Rodgers has been looking this season, taking away the run game of the Packers might play into the favor for the Eagles. This team still has a lot of important games left, so this win against the Colts was good for getting back on track.
