ESPN College GameDay headed to Seattle for Pac-12 Clash

ESPN’s College GameDay, the premier pregame show which is celebrating its 30th season, have announced that they’ll be headed to Seattle. The visit to Washington will be the third in Husky history.

The “GameDay” crew – Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Pat McAfee and Desmond Howard, among others – will be on the campus for an undefeated Pac-12 clash. No. 7 Washington (5-0) and No. 8 Oregon (5-0) will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 14. This meeting will mark the first time in the rivalry’s 114-game history that both teams have simultaneously been ranked in the Top 10.

In the two previous trips that “College GameDay” has taken to Seattle the odds have not been in favor of the Huskies. They fell 26-13 to USC in 2016 and 45-24 to No. 12 Oregon in 2013. Of course, they have a chance to reverse that trend against the Ducks and continue their march to the College Football Playoff. Though, it won’t be easy. Oregon has both a Top 10 Offense and Top 10 Defense at this point in the season.

The game holds many ramifications. Not only for the Pac-12, but for the College Football Playoff and bragging rights heading into the BIG 10, where Oregon and Washington will continue their storied rivalry. Both teams have the bye leading up to the Top 10 clash as they have a chance to rest, recuperate and prepare for what could be one of the biggest games this season.

Attending this game, was an easy decision for College GameDay. Not many other top-tier matchups were on the ballot outside of this game and USC vs Notre Dame, but ND has been featured the past two weeks.
