Year Two of the Fantom Sports Dynasty league is underway. Right now, were in the process of the Year 2 Draft where each team has four picks. A lot has happened since the end of the first season. We’ve added six new teams and we’re minimizing our benches from 12 to 8. Over the next couple of days and weeks, we will begin ramping up our fantasy content. This year, we will even have weekly updates on our league. For now, lets welcome the new teams. We’ll also take a look at the teams remaining from last season.

Team NicCunningham

Nic came back to Fantom Sports recently and has been focused on fantasy content. He has been active in our fantasy department for a while and we’re excited to have him on board with the Dynasty league this season. The roster that Nic took over has to be one of the better ones that had become available. He currently has Jalen Hurts and Anthony Richardson as his QB’s (Hurts is the starter). In his two starting RB spots, he has Najee Harris and Jonathan Taylor. On the Bench he has Michael Carter, Evan Hull and Tyjae Spears.

At the Wide Receiver position, Nics team is loaded with talent: Ja’Marr Chase, Tank Dell, Jordan Addison, Zay Flowers, Jonathan Mingo and Joshua Palmer. For his Tight Ends, he currently has Mark Andrews and Chigoziem Okonkwo. Then for Kicker/Defense he has Jake Moody, the Eagles and the Buccaneers.

Team Twist259

Alex has been with Fantom for a while. He’s been active in a lot of our fantasy leagues. This year, he’s taking over a roster that’s constructed to probably win now. His bench could use some work but his starting core is pretty solid. He only has one QB on roster: Tua Tagovailoa. At the running back position, he has Travis Etienne, Gus Edwards as the starters with AJ Dillon, Brian Robinson and Kendre Miller on his bench.

He has a pretty solid receiving core in his starting lineup as well with Terry McLaurin (WR), CeeDee Lamb (WR), Evan Engram (TE), Garrett Wilson (W/R/T) and Josh Downs (W/R/T). On his bench, he has Michael Wilson, Jakobi Meyers, Kayshon Boutte and Darnell Washington. His Kicker is Jason Sanders, and he has the Jets defense.

It’s a roster that made it into the championship last season.

Team LilDub14

Another Fantom writer joining this year, Jordan Webster has produced some fantasy and football content for us. He might have some work to do before competing for a championship. Of course, that kind of all depends on if his team can stay healthy.
QB’s: Joe Burrow (Starter), Baker Mayfield (Bench)
RB’s: Zamir White and Josh Jacobs (Starters), Javonte Williams, Dameon Piere and Jaylen Warren (Bench)
WR’s: DeVonta Smith and Tyler Lockett (Starters), doesn’t currently have any on the bench
TE’s: Dallas Goedert (Starter), Tyler Conklin (Bench)
W/R/T: Jameson Williams and Zack Moss
Kicker: Harrison Butker
DEF: Chiefs

He’s made some changes since coming in and will be making more over the next week, but this was one of the worst rosters that we had coming into Year two of the Fantom Dynasty league. Last season, it was the second worst in the standings. Maybe that’s on the previous management, but Jordan has a lot of work to do.

Bijan Mustard

Jayden Simmons takes over a roster that has Bijan Robinson on the roster. Hence the name. Though, the team didn’t perform as well as it could have last season. So, we’ll see what Jayden can do. He’s got his work cut out for him. A team that made it into the second round of the loser’s bracket last season.

This could be one of the most balanced rosters in Year Two of the Fantom Dynasty league. With a balance of young talent and players that could help win now.

Team AnthonyJ10

Clearly, Anthony Jobbagy was not going to keep the roster he inherited He has released pretty much everyone from his bench. He only has Dalton Schultz on the bench as of right now. With his starters, though, he may look to be competing. He has Josh Allen as his QB. Aaron Jones and Joe Mixon are the only two running backs on his roster. He has four wide receivers (Two at WR and two at W/R/T) inMike Evans, Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton and DK Metcalf. At the Starting TE slot he has David Njoku. His kicker is Justin Tucker and he has the Denver Broncos defense.

Clearly, he’ll have to make some additions with the draft and through free agency.

Team SchuckleMcMuckle

The last member joining the league this year is Max Crider. Who takes over arguably the best roster that was available. Were talking about a roster that has Patrick Mahomes as the starting quarterback. The team that he has taken over didn’t make the playoffs last year though. So it’ll be intriguing to see if he can do better than the previous manager.

WR: Rashee Rice and Romeo Doubs
TE: Cole Kmet
W/R/T: DJ Moore and Cooper Kupp

Defense: Bills
Bench: Jaleel McLaughlin, Antonio Gibson, Deuce Vaughn, Zach Charbonnet, Tyler Boyd, Christian Kirk, Rashid Shaheed, Michael Mayer and the Colts defense

So whose returning?

We have a total of six teams returning from last year. Including our champion El Presidente (Shane Davis) and worst team last year which was owned by myself (Dacota Haynes). I have changed my team name to ‘Maybe Nix Year’. Also returning is Fantom Sports MMA writer and podcaster Brett Cagle. Then we have Phoenix (Team phoenixj), Stephen (DeshaunDontTouchdownThere) and Nathan (Teamnathanroskam). All of whom, made the playoffs last season. It’s a new year though and we will dive into the moves that each team makes in the supplemental draft as well as in free agency.
