As Formula 1 enters is summer break, there is a lot of talk in the paddock of driver moves for next season. There is still a lot of tension between Red Bull and Mercedes. After the teams collided once again. There are talks of who will be taking Mercedes Driver Valterri Bottas’s seat. The question is which drivers will move next season?
Who are the candidates
Williams driver George Russell and Aston Martin racing driver Lance Stroll. Are two names that have been linked with a move Mercedes. To replace the struggling Bottas. Ever since joining in 2017, it has been clear who the number one driver is. And that is seven time world champion Lewis Hamilton. When Bottas joined Mercedes everyone thought he’d give Hamilton a run for his money. Well let’s just say we all have been disappointed.
Ferrari don’t look like they need to do any business in switching drivers as they seemed to be set for the future. With Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc both still very young and have a lot of potential. Ferrari look to be threatening in the next few years. Red Bull might be on the market for a second driver. As new signing Sergio Perez has been quite disappointing. With Championship contender Max Verstappen seemingly happy to stay. Although his named has been mentioned for a Mercedes drive. But now with all the tension between the two teams. A move is highly unlikely, unless Hamilton retires.
Mid-table potential moves
Mclaren seem pretty content with their two drivers of Lando Norris and Daniel Riccardo. Although Norris is doing better than Riccardo, Mclaren won’t be too worried as they know what Riccardo is capable of. There will be no driver swaps there. Williams and Aston Martin are the two teams on the look out.
As they might have to replace their current drivers. Haas will have some time to think about their drivers. As Nikita Mazepin, has been outraced by teammate MIck Schumacher. As the summer beak is approaching near its end. There will be a a lot of potential shock moves
