Some people despise the international break while some actually like seeing players go to their respective national teams to compete. I’m of the opinion that though fans understandably dislike the constant pausing of the season, most players actually love representing their country. Whether it be in friendlies or competitive matches, the emotion they get from hearing their national anthem is phenomenal. With that being said, some Madrid players have shown their quality over this break. Captain Fede with a goal and an assist, Modric with his hundredth standing ovation of the season and Camavinga impresses Deschamps. Here’s how Madrid players fared during the international break.
The French Boys
Tchouameni started the first game for France against the Netherlands while Cama started against Ireland. Both players played in the “DM” role and had a major impact in France’s victories.
Tchouamani’s assist to Kylian Mbappe in the first game was as impressive as his overall performance. He recycled the ball well while always being aware of his defensive duties.
Camavinga was arguably the man of the match against Ireland. The 20 year old was always an outlet in the build up and created the most chances (three) in the match.
Will Carlo finally start both gems at the same time?
Captain Fede during this International Break

Fede captained his national team for both matches against Japan and South Korea. He scored one against Japan and assisted Sebastian Coates from a corner against South Korea.
Modric
Modric and Croatia beat Turkey and drew with Wales during this international break. On both occasions, fans showed their admiration for the legend through standing ovations.
Let’s see if the club offers him a contract renewal in the coming weeks.
Alaba
Alaba only played 45 minutes for Austria. He wasn’t fully fit and the manager didn’t want to risk another injury.
Ceballos during this International Break
Ceballos came on in the 58th minute against Norway and had a huge impact on their win. He even created the most chances in the entire match in that cameo.
He was rewarded with a start against Scotland but failed to impress. With him being the primary creator, he failed to deliver anything of note.
Vini, Rodrygo and Militao

The Brazilians only had one match during this window and spent a couple days recharging their batteries on a mini holiday.
The match was against one of the World Cup’s best performers Morocco. Brazil lost by two goals to one.
The Madrid trio had a decent outing despite the result. Brazil are yet to appoint Tite’s successor so it’s normal for their performances to fluctuate before then.
International Break is Over
All Madrid players are now back in training. They must regroup after the Clasico defeat and fight to win the remaining two available trophies.
