John Cena says that Max Caster of AEW is better than him at rapping.

In Forbes, it was reported that the 16-time champion John Cena was asked about Max Caster of the tag team “The Acclaimed” if he thought he could match up to Caster on the mic with his rhymes. Cena had this to say.

“He’s extremely gifted. I remember hearing him for the first time and asking a good friend of mine to please pass his information on to me. I immediately checked out his raps, out of the blue, and I saw what he was doing was spectacular. I wish him all the best of luck, but I can’t give him any advice because he’s punching far above my weight class. He is very gifted. He’s gifted enough to rhyme to the beat live, where I kind of did my stuff a cappella to let the punchlines sink in.”

It’s even more important to realize that Cena almost never puts over anything AEW related. Making this a big deal. I think that Max Caster’s mic skills should one day make him a big star, in AEW, or somewhere else. The man has a gift, and I want to see more of it. Apparently, Cena thinks so too.

For now, though, it doesn’t appear that Max Caster and his partner Anthony Bowens have had any meaningful feuds. In every match, he comes out with the music playing and cuts vicious promos on whoever is in the ring. Such as Bryan Danielson, when Max Caster said “I end careers faster than your father-in-law.” This was a reference to the Talent Relations officer in WWE, John Laurinaitis, who is married to Brie Bella’s mother. Brie Bella is Bryan Danielson’s wife. If Cena believes in him, then I believe his chances of becoming a big star in wrestling are pretty likely, even if the booking doesn’t favor him right now. This writer would love to see them cut a promo on The Young Bucks on a PPV main event tag team match in the feature. Just saying.
