The Seattle Kraken’s wonderful second-year run that saw them fend off the defending champion Avalanche in the first round has sadly ended. The Dallas Stars took game 7 by a score of 2-1, thanks to a Wyatt Johnston goal in the third period. With the win, Dallas Head Coach Peter DeBoer has moved to 7-0 all-time in game 7’s. Roope Hintz Scored the other goal for the Stars while Oliver Bjorkstrand scored the lone goal for the Kraken.
Dallas looks ahead to face the Vegas Golden Knights, a rematch of the 2020 Conference final, where Dallas won in 5. The Stars swept the season series, winning the games by scores of 4-0, 3-2, and 2-1, with the two latter being in shootouts. Vegas will have home ice advantage, so they hope the fans will affect the games.
The best-of-seven series starts on May 19th with puck drop at 8:30 ET.
