A season ago, the Dodgers may have had the best roster in all of baseball. Potentially, in MLB history. However, they’ve lost some of that talent… not just in free agency, but also with injuries heading into the 2023 season. Check out our Los Angeles Dodgers 2023 Preview:
Heading into the spring training, the Dodgers knew they might be without Walker Buehler. Though the loss to Gavin Lux may hurt the Dodgers lineup more than some think. With that being said, the 2023 season may be a transition year for the Dodgers. Which honestly may not be the worst thing for the franchise. It will allow them to get younger and develop some prospects. The LA Dodgers have some talent on the cusp of making the majors soon or in the majors already.
The Dodgers have an eye on the future, with a focus on the present as well. The 2023 season won’t be defined by the Dodgers’ regular season, but by how they do come October. They added J.D. Martinez to the lineup and have both Miguel Vargas and Miguel Rojas. The Dodgers may not be at the top of their division, but they will be amongst the top of the National League.
The pitching staff may be a little rockier this season, and that really depends on health. Without Buehler, the rotation really can’t afford to lose anyone else.
