Mets Bounce Back

Recap of the game

After losing the first two games in the series against the Miami Marlins. The New York Mets have bounced back with a 5-3 win. Star players Javier Baez and co got off to a strong start. Marlins pitcher Zach Thompson struggled on the field today as the mets went up 3-0 after in the second inning . Pitcher Carlos Carrasco was dominant for the first five innings until he was taken out of the game after giving up five hits and a two runs. Cutting the lead to 3-2.

Mets batter step up

The Marlins relief pitching shut the Mets out for the next three innings as they struggled to get their bats swinging. The Marlins scored the game tying run off of Jesus Aguilar with his solo shot to left field. It looked like it was going to be another tough night for the Mets. But recent trade acquisition Javier Baez begged to differ. He took Anthony Bass deep to right field as the Mets regained the lead in the top of the 8th. Michael Conforto capitalized on an error by relief pitcher Steven Okert threw a wild pitch.

The closing pitchers of the Mets managed to keep the lead this time. And they can return to winning ways after a couple of losses. But now that they are back to winnings ways, the Mets can hope they get their star pitching back. to help them propel the team back to the playoffs, for the first time since 2016.
