Miami Is The Real Deal

The Miami Dolphins have elevated themselves to an undefeated record. Currently sitting pretty at 2-0 after a phenomenal comeback victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Both offenses were on full display in this tremendous game that was a joy for NFL fans everywhere to watch. However, if you were not watching, don’t worry, as Mike McDaniel and company just put the rest of the NFL on notice. To give you an idea of how great of a comeback this was, see the tweet below:

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “don’t overreact to one game”. But, the Dolphins have now toppled two top AFC teams from last season, the Patriots and the Ravens. Both teams were expected to be serious contenders in the stacked American Football Conference this year. Knocking down two tough opponents back-to-back is no easy feat for any team, let alone the seemingly slept-on Dolphins. Admittingly, this outing has cemented itself as a “game of the year candidate” for this season.

The Electric Offense

Your honor, petition to roll out Miami Vice gear for the 2022 ‘phins. In less than a quarter and a half, Tua led the offense to score 35 points. To put it into perspective, Tagoviola’s final stats from the game included a career-high in both passing and touchdowns. As he threw for a whopping 469 yards and slashed the defense for 6 touchdowns. If you had him or Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in fantasy, then your investment certainly paid off as the pair had two touchdowns apiece. Ironically, it was evident that the Dolphins would have to throw the ball to play catch-up. Yet, this potent offense was able to torch this gritty Baltimore defense that should have seen every move coming.

Through two games this season Tua Tagoviola has 739 yards passing. That’s more than other AFC standouts like Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes. After this outing, I think it is fair to say he has silenced many of his critics after a pair of solid performances. The offense will most certainly anchor this team for the rest of the year. Heck, we expected it when Mike McDaniel was brought in to correct the ship. Noticeably, his success as the 49er’s offensive coordinator has translated to the head coaching position here in Miami.

Pay Attention To The Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins have gotten a leg up on the rest of the AFC and NFL as they are one of the select undefeated teams heading into Week 3. Notably, this team has been embroiled in controversy since the drafting of Tua and the dismay of the Brian Flores saga. However, Mike McDaniel has put together a culture to silence all the outside noise and focus on their future. The future that they, and they alone, can create. Well, it certainly looks bright.

In conclusion, Mike McDaniel has been beloved by fans across the NFL for speaking the truth during his press conferences, but his game calling today was poetry in motion on the field. A truly outstanding effort by all three phases of the team. If Miami can pull themselves out of holes like this against top teams like the Ravens, then this year should truly be something special.
