UFC legend Nate Diaz made headlines recently after he was caught on camera choking out a man in a street brawl. The Incident occurred in New Orleans, where Diaz attended a boxing event. The Stockton fighter was there to support stablemate Chris Avila.
The video captured the violent interaction between Diaz and the man, with Diaz applying a guillotine chokehold on him. Coincidentally, this altercation happened the same night Diaz threw a water bottle at reality TV star Chase Demoor.
Identity of Involved Individual in Nate Diaz Street Brawl
Bloody Elbow reports that the identity of the individual involved in the street brawl with Nate Diaz is TikTok influencer Rodney Petersen. However, this has not yet been confirmed by Diaz or any other sources.
Petersen is known for being a Logan Paul lookalike and has a significant presence on TikTok. Many initially thought it was the elder Paul brother, Logan Paul, involved in the fight due to his past controversies and involvement in boxing events. Still, what started the altercation between Diaz and Petersen is unknown, but it is clear from the video that things escalated quickly. A video of the melee got to UFC president Dana White, who was shocked at the violent nature displayed.
White thinks Diaz will face legal consequences for his actions in the street brawl.
Diaz recently signed to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match scheduled for later this year. It is unknown if this incident will impact that scheduled fight or if Diaz will face any consequences that could prevent him from competing. The extent of the man’s injuries and current condition have not been reported. It is unknown if any charges will be filed against either party involved in the altercation.
