
The NBA has announced tonight’s game between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat will be postponed. The reason why the game is getting postponed is because Miami are short of the required eight available players. The Heat have seven players currently in the NBA’s Health and Safety protocols including stars Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry.
New NBA Protocols
Yesterday, the NBA announced that players who enter the NBA’s Health and Safety protocols now have an isolation period for five days instead of ten days. The NBA has seen many players enter the NBA’s protocols in the last week. Also, the NBA this week has postponed eight games since December 19th. Some star players in the protocols include Jayson Tatum, D’Angelo Russell, and Draymond Green. Other leagues, including the NHL and NFL, have changed their guidelines since CDC officials cut the isolation period by five days.
COVID Problems for San Antonio?
The Spurs have dealt with some players entering the NBA’s Health and Safety protocols. This game will be the first game that San Antonio has gotten postponed this season. Two players are currently in the NBA’s Health and Safety protocols for the Spurs, star Dejounte Murray, and Devontae Cacok, who entered the protocols today.
