What Is On The Line 

Undefeated Georgia is ranked number 1 in the nation. Georgia is 9-0; 7-0 in SEC. Georgia will play for the SEC Championship trophy. Georgia hopes to stay unblemished in SEC play with a record 8-0. If they accomplish an 8-0 record it will be the first time in school history. Tennessee is coming from a win over Kentucky, who is ranked. If Tennessee defeats Georgia, it would be an enormous victory. Tennessee earns a bowl bid with their next win. Tennessee is 5-4 overall; 3-3 in SEC.

What To Watch For

Tennessee’s offense battling against Georgia dominate defense is something to watch. There have only been 59 points allowed by the Bulldogs defense this season. That’s an average of 6.6 points a game. That is the lowest number of points allowed through a combined nine games. In 1971, Georgia allowed 53 total points. Jordan Davis, DT, leads the Georgia scoring defense. The defense has only given up five touchdowns. Davis is a preseason All-American. Georgia averages allowing 79.8 rushing yards.

Defensively, Tennessee allows 28.2 points a game. They allow 153.3 rushing yards.

Offensively, Tennessee tallies an average of 38.2 points per game played. In terms of scoring, Tennessee is ranked 15th in the nation, and 3rd in the SEC. Tennessee are leaders nationally running 2.92 plays a minute.  The Tennessee QB, Hendon Hooker, has a passer rating of 190.01. He ranks fourth nationally, coming in second in the SEC, behind Georgia’s Stetson Bennett. Hendon Hooker is a graduate transfer from Virginia Tech. Hooker has had 19 TD passes, and one interception thrown as a starter. 

Stetson Bennett’s passer rating is 197.34. Stetson is 9-2 on the season. JT Daniels is 7-0 on the season.

Conclusion

Georgia at Tennesee will be a phenomal game. Georgia is predicted to win. With all the talent on the field, anything can happen. Both teams are full of talent. Stats and rankings do not matter.
