
No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels head to Knoxville, Tennessee, to take on the Tennessee Volunteers in an SEC showdown. It will be Saturday at 6:30 pm central on the SEC network.

Ole Miss needs this win to still be in the race for the SEC championship especially with the loss Alabama had against Texas A&M. Ole Miss is trying to fully recover after the loss to Alabama which makes the head-to-head in the standings in Alabamas favor. Tennessee does have a harder path to the SEC championship game because Georgia and Kentucky are both 4-0. Tennessee does have four games in a row that are against Alabama, Kentucky, and Georgia. This would be a huge momentum swing in their favor going into the next games if they could win.

These teams are the two most explosive offenses in college football. Tennessee averages 41.5 points per game and averages 474 total yards per game. However, Ole Miss averages 46.2 points pre-game and 561.6 total yards per game. However, with the two most explosive offenses, it will all depend on who has the best defense. Tennessee seems that they could be the team with the better defense. They allow 344.3 yards per game and average 21.5 points pre-game. Ole Miss’s defense looks like the weaker of the two. For Ole Miss, Matt Corral will have to continue his dominant performance so far this season. He has 1,497 passing yards and 12 touchdowns with zero interceptions. In addition to his passing stats, he also has 255 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. In addition, Carrol also has almost a 70 percent completion so far this season.
For Tennessee, Hendon Hooker will need to be able to continue his great play. He has 1,063 passing yards and 13 touchdowns and also one interception. He has also added 282 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. Just like Carrol, Hooker has the same 70 percent completion.

Tennessee is the favorite for this game because of the last few games that they have played and how much they have scored. They also are coming off of their second game in a row where they scored 28 points before halftime. Ole Miss is almost having the same season as Tennessee but let’s up more points than Tennessee has. Ole Miss is looking to have a blowout game once again because two weeks ago they lost to Alabama 42 to 21 and won by one against Arkansas 52 to 51.
