The New England Patriots steamroll the Jacksonville Jaguars 50-10 to clinch themselves a playoff spot (with help from a Miami loss). From start to finish the game was never in question and the Pats move to 10-6 on the season.

The Patriots needed a dominant performance to regain some momentum following two straight losses. They went out there and did exactly that, Mac Jones, Damien Harris, the defense all looked really fresh and all played extremely well.

Jones had looked like a rookie the past two games, struggling against some strong defense. He had a huge bounce-back week putting up 227 yards and 3 touchdowns and looked extremely accurate.

Patriots Defense

This was just a dominant performance, the Pats picked off Trevor Lawrence 3 times, JC Jackson added another to an already pro bowl season, Kyle Dugger and Myles Bryant had the other two.

The Patriots added Matthew Judon back from the covid list, but the Patriots really managed his workload, Judon barely saw the field this game. They did not miss him, the Jags did miss their three starting O-linemen as the Patriots constantly had Lawrence pressured, getting to him for a sack twice.

Patriots Offense

The offense just looked great this week. Mac Jones threw for 227 yards and 3 touchdowns in just about 3 quarters. Brian Hoyer came in and replaced him with about 10 minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

Mac Jones looked comfortable in the pocket and out of the pocket the few times he was pressured. He completed 73% of his passes.

The Patriots rookies took over this game. Mac Jones had three touchdowns, Rhamondre Stevenson scored two touchdowns, and undrafted rookie Kristian Wilkerson caught two touchdowns in his first NFL action.

Damien Harris added two rushing touchdowns, and Jakobi Meyers caught one as well.

Moving Forward

The Patriots will play Miami in the final week of the season. With the playoff spot locked up, the Patriots will be looking just for some energy going into the playoffs.
