Phillip Danault is off to the LA Kings. The 28 year old has signed a six year contract for $33 million. His defensive ability will especially be missed. The Kings are trying to expedite the rebuild and become a contender again in the new look pacific division. Danault may be the man to help them.

Philip Danault is not a top line guy. But, with the Kings he could be a reliable third line center or at worst, move up to the second line if needed. He has been in the mix for the Selke Trophy, the league’s best defensive forward, for the last three seasons. If more comes out about this, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.
