The Nashville Predators announced early Monday that they have signed Nolan Burke, currently a forward of the OHL’s Sarnia Sting.

Burke who is just 19 years old, is skating in his fourth season with the Sting. Through 16 games, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound center leads the OHL in goals with 15; he recorded a career-high 34 during the 2021-22 campaign. Burke is also second on the team and tied for sixth in the OHL in points with 24 (15g-9a). He’s recorded a point in all but two of his contests to begin the 2022-23 season and has tallied seven multi-point efforts, including three three-point outings, one of which was a hat trick on Nov. 2 vs. Guelph.

He went undrafted and has played all 137 of his contests for Sarnia since his debut in the 2018-19 season.

The recent signee is currently the No. 2 prospect in the system for the Preds, and would be the ninth Center on the roster if added. Though, with players such as Cody Glass and Mikael Granlund already on the roster, Burke is probably not expected to make his debut this season.
