The Los Angeles Rams (8-4) will be traveling to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ to take on the Arizona Cardinals (10-2) on Monday Night Football this week. The Rams will be entering the contest two games back from the Cardinals in the NFC West, and will be looking to avenge their Week 4 loss.

Week 13 Review: Rams and Cardinals Reign Victorious

The Rams took down the Jaguars last week, 37-7. Their defense shined holding the Jaguars to only 197 total yards on the day. It was refreshing to see the Rams defense finally come together since acquiring Von Miller, with him helping to get the team back in the win column. Along with a strong defensive performance, their offense looked phenomenal. Matthew Stafford connected on 3 touchdown passes, and Cooper Kupp continued to frustrate defenses with 129 receiving yards on 8 receptions and a score. If the Rams want to take down the NFL’s top team, it will take a group effort on both sides of the ball.

Arizona is coming off a big win in Chicago that was headlined by the return of Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins. The dynamic duo didn’t skip a beat as they connected for a touchdown on their first drive of the game. They plan to ride this wave of momentum into Monday night’s game and increase their division lead against the Rams with a win.

Previous Meeting: Week 4

In Week 4, the Cardinals took down the Rams with a final score of 37-20 in Los Angeles. It was a game in which the Arizona offense clicked on all cylinders. Kyler Murray threw for 268 yards along with two touchdowns. The run-game was also spectacular, as they went for over 200 yards on the ground collectively. It will take a similar performance for the Cardinals if they look to have the same outcome in Week 14.

With the Cardinals struggling at home, resulting in a 3-2 record on the season, the Rams are preparing to make a statement. A win could stake their claim as the best in the NFC West. Although they are two games behind their division rival, a win on MNF would propel the Rams back into the conversation as the Super Bowl favorites in the NFC.

Keys to the Game: Rams

Keys to the Game: Cardinals

Player to Watch: Rams WR, Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham Jr. went up against the Cardinals in Week 6 as a member of the Cleveland Browns. His performance in that game resulted in five receptions for 79 yards on eight targets. I expect to see a similar performance in Week 14, this time as a member of the Rams. So far with the Rams, Beckham Jr. has shown flashes of his former self, but he has remained inconsistent and, as a result, has only caught 50% of his targets. While he has caught two touchdown passes in three games and seems to be having fun on the field, as seen during the viral “self-revive” touchdown celebration, Beckham Jr. has yet to have that big statement game since joining the Rams. As a result, the former All-Pro wide receiver will need to take advantage of his targets early if the Rams want to win this match-up
