Jovic signs for Fiorentina

Luka Jovic has reportedly agreed to join ACF Fiorentina on a one year loan deal. The Serb has recently followed the club on Instagram so the transfer is imminent. Real Madrid will pay half of his salary throughout the loan period. 

With the World Cup coming up, Jovic wanted consistent game time to gain match fitness and momentum. Fiorentina were also eager to get his signature because they lost their talisman, Dusan Vlahovic, to Juventus in January. The Madrid fan base wishes Luka nothing but the best and hopes he does well in Italy.

Benzema looks set to renew his contract until 2024

According to MARCA, Benzema will sign a one year contract with Real Madrid. His current one expires in 2023, but an agreement is in place to sign until 2024. This is good news for Real Madrid as their captain, leader and best player will be with them for at least two more seasons.

Rudiger Update

Antonio Rudiger will arrive in Madrid on Sunday and have his medicals and presentation on Monday. The German’s Nations League campaign finished last Tuesday, so the club has allowed him to get some well deserved rest. He will be presented as a new Real Madrid player on Monday and speak to the press afterwards. He will resume his vacation after the presentation and join the team for his first pre-season at the club.

Mariano set to stay

According to reports, Mariano Diaz will remain at the club for the 2022/23 season. This is a surprise to the Madrid fanbase as everyone thought he would have left the club. Regardless of if he stays or not, Madrid should still be in the market for a young striker as he isn’t a good enough backup to Benzema.
