The Formula E driver, Lucas di Grassi has announced the renewal of his partnership with CabinAir. The Swedish company who came onboard last year has planned to extend their term.
The 2016-2017 Formula E champion had talked to LiveScore’s Jim Munro last year. During the conversation, he shared that he had “been talking to CabinAir for more than a year now and trying to get them involved.”
“With Cabin Air I said ‘look, you are already producing these filters for cars to keep out exhaust fumes.’ “You have this Blueair technology about filtering the air, making the air quality better for cars, for the environment, in offices, so why don’t you come and use this opportunity?”
Lucas di Grassi highlights the importance of climate change and use of electric cars. He is also the official United Nations ambassador for clean air.
What is CabinAir?
There’s more to their origins than a like-any-other company.
When BlueAir (a 25 year old Swedish company advocating for air purification) got together with Volvo (Swedish car manufacturer), it gave rise to the idea of CabinAir. Another Swedish company.
BlueAir provides purifiers for the homes and workplaces. On the other hand, CabinAir is solely dedicated to cleaner air in the vehicles. Their system stops up to 10 times more harmful PM₂.₅ and ultra-fine particles from getting into the cabin, compared to standard filters. It also prevents CO₂ and airborne virus build-up and flushes out in-cabin odors.
After getting a third position for Rokit Venturi Racing in Round 2 itself, Lucas di Grassi will hope for better results. A second championship will indeed be a breath of fresh air.
