Resilient Real face Fearless Frankfurt

Real Madrid faces Eintracht Frankfurt in this year’s edition of the UEFA Super Cup Final. It’s poised to be an exciting game of football as both teams like to attack and create chances. Real Madrid has the experience while Frankfurt has the hunger and match fitness required to come out victorious.

Real Madrid’s pre-season has been a successful one. They’ve improved physically and tactically after each game and practiced different tactical setups. Their new signings have made their debuts, settled with the squad, and performed well.

Frankfurt will also class their pre-season as a successful one. They have scored many goals and conceded few while keeping their entire squad fit. Their competitive season has already started, so they can be expected to be more fit and sharp on the night.

During the most recent pre-season match against Juventus, we saw the Vinzema duo in full effect. Though they still weren’t on the same wavelength, they were a constant threat for the Juve defense.

The dynamic duo will be looking to continue where they left off and give the Frankfurt defense something to worry about throughout the match.

Frankfurt heavily relies on their wingbacks, Kostic and Knauff, in most attacking sequences. They are both pacey, energetic, and technically secure which allows them to be a constant offensive threat while using their pace to recover defensively. Carvajal and Mendy are in for a busy night trying to limit the damage they will cause.

At the time of writing, Filip Kostic is close to completing a transfer to Juventus. It’s currently unknown if he will play on Wednesday or not. Whether he does play or not, their wingbacks will still be a major threat throughout the match.

Frankfurt is coming into this game with nothing to lose, but everything to gain. They know and respect the European giant that they’re playing but will be eager to hurt the UCL winners.

Los Blancos will want to pick up their first piece of silverware of the season which will build team confidence and momentum. Carlo Ancelotti said, “We have some disadvantages compared to Frankfurt, as they start the season early but we will play to win & the team’s in top form.” The players know that their fans want this trophy so they will do everything to deliver.

Prepare yourselves for a high-energy, end-to-end, and exciting game of football on August 10th in the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
