One of the greatest wrestling storylines of recent decades, is that of Sami Zayn with The Bloodline. For Zayn it’s been a well-deserved push that he has earned. The WWE Universe has been behind him the entire time. On the Feb. 20 episode of Monday Night Raw, Zayn explained to Kevin Owens that his sole goal now is to take down The Bloodline.

Following that on the Feb. 24 episode of Friday Night Smackdown, we saw a segment of Jimmy Uso addressing his twin brother Jey. While Jimmy was in the ring, Zayn approached him and tried to get his message across to the twin that is still standing strong with ‘The Bloodline.’

Uso explained to Zayn that by hitting his cousin with a chair he turned his back on him and his brother, Jey. In Jimmy’s mind, that left him with little choice but to beat down the former Honorary Uce. Zayn was quick to reply. “Let me tell you what else family doesn’t do, okay? They don’t make you test your loyalty every single week,” Zayn said. “They don’t make you jump through hoops just to prove that you’re worth something. They don’t manipulate you every single week like Roman Reigns did to me, the way Roman Reigns has done to your twin!”

Right after this, Jey Uso emerged from the crowd. Though, he wasn’t in a hurry to get to the ring. Zayn glanced up at the younger Uso twin, while the older one attacked Zayn. Though, the former ‘Honarary Uce’ ultimately got the better of the altercation, hitting a Helluva Kick on Jimmy while Jimmy pleaded for his brother to help him. However, Jey never stepped over the barricade. When Solo Sikoa came down to the ring to help his fallen Uce, Zayn escaped through the crowd.

Sami Zayn in the Bloodline

Sami Zayn has been one of the most interesting characters in all of professional wrestling, and was a key figure of The Bloodline saga. His run as a member of The Bloodline alongside Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, the Usos, and Solo Sikoa elevated and enhanced every single member of the group, as well as Zayn himself. The only non-Anoa’i wrestler in the group, Zayn has brought an equally high and important level of comedy and intrigue to the group’s long-running story.

Zayn was one of the last members to join the faction along with Sikoa, the Usos’ younger brother. It was a duo that featured two very different personalities. The stoic and ruthless Solo is quite different from the crafty and exuberant Zayn. Despite their difference, Solo and Sami had a quick connection, as Sikoa chose Sami as his mentor figure. Which, in a sense, quickly died when Reigns pulled Sikoa in as ‘The Enforcer of the Bloodline’. The latter has been by Reigns and Paul Heyman’s side even when the other three weren’t.

His storytelling ability has been top-tier throughout most of his career, and his run as the Honorary Uce has solidified his status as one of the best. Though whether or not, he can fully convince The Uso’s or Sikoa to join him in taking down their cousin, the storyline will have quite an interesting finish. Zayn is continuing to try and cause cracks in Reigns family, and the latter will most likely address it next week.
