TCU vs Kansas: A Showdown In Lawrence
There is a clash of the titans afoot in Lawrence this week as the two Big 12 teams will duke it out. This game has massive implications for the Big 12 conference overall, as TCU vs Kansas takes place in week six of the college football slate. The conference entered shaking grounds with the forthcoming departures of Oklahoma and Texas to the SEC. But, it also possibly holds the fate for both teams’ rankings in the AP Top 25 poll moving forward. The last time these two met, TCU escaped with a close victory over the Jayhawks with a win, 31-28. Kansas will certainly look for revenge this weekend, whereas TCU will look to hold off the hot Kansas Jayhawks.
TCU Horned Frogs: Preview
Both teams are undefeated coming into this critical conference game. Astoundingly, the Horned Frogs are riding high after upsetting the Oklahoma Sooners last week. A dominating victory, even before Dillon Gabriel left the game, TCU won 55-24. The Horned Frogs have been steadily brewing for a while now, and this year it is really showing. Quarterback Max Duggan has grown into his own after helming the ship for a few years. Texas Christian University might say they are blessed to have him, but his talent has been on display for a few seasons now thanks to his hard work within the program.
Kansas Jayhawks: Preview
Is Kansas a football school now? Is Kansas, as a state, a football state now? Both Kansas Big 12 schools are in the rankings this week. Plus, both programs have beaten the traditional top dog of the conference, Oklahoma. The Jayhawks’ stock is at an all-time high currently as the team is undefeated this season. Ever since the firing of Les Miles last season, critics didn’t know what to think of Kansas. However, the team was adeptly aware of the lack of respect and has put together a strong resume this year. Let’s see if Kansas can rock the house with a home-field advantage.
The Game:
