Tennessee Vs Bowling Green Upstart Tennessee Kicks off the season Bowling Green. Tennessee starts this year with yet again another head coach after the firing of Jeremy Pruitt last season. On January 21, 2020 Tennessee hired Josh Heupel who had great success at UCF.
Josh Heupel brings an offense similar to another former Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin, as both coaches are offensive masterminds. Look for Tennessee to score a lot of points this season as Josh Heupel runs a wide-open offense with unusual plays which will be very exciting for Tennessee fans. Tennessee will start Joe Milton who is a transfer from Michigan, This came as a surprise to a lot of Tennessee fans considering that Harrison Bailey was the hands-on favorite after the spring game.
As Joe Milton stated the majority of the games for the Wolverines last season. But his stats were not great as out of 141 attempts passing he only completed 80 which is 56.7 percent he also had 1,077 yards passing with 4 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He also had 109 yards rushing on 38 attempts and one touchdown rushing. As it doesn’t make sense why Josh Heupel would start Josh Milton. Josh fits his offense a lot better than Harrison Bailey.
Conclusion for Tennessee Vs Bowling Green
This is 100 percent a rebuilding year for Bowling Green as they were a struggling 0-5 last season. And it doesn’t look like it will get any better this season. Tennessee is a -34.5 point favorite Thursday night. And for me give me the line considering how much I like Josh Heupels offense and the struggles Bowling Green will have this year.
Prediction: Tennessee 55, Bowling Green 3
