Terry Stotts steps down as Bucks Assistant Coach

The reunion between Bucks assistant coach Terry Stotts and Damian Lillard was short-lived. As Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to report the Stotts would be stepping down.

After sitting out from coaching for the past two years, Terry Stotts joined Bucks’ new head coach Adrian Griffin’s staff this spring. This comes three weeks after the Bucks acquired Lillard via trade. It’s not immediately clear whether Griffin will replace Stotts or not.

Stotts has spent 14 years as an assistant and 13 years as a head coach. Including 9 years as the HC in Portland where he helped lead the Blazers to eight straight Western Conference Playoffs, before his departure in 2021. Stotts had a 402-318 record in Portland.
