Andy Isabella was drafted in 2019 from UMASS Amherst. There were high hopes for the second round pick. Arizona felt they found their franchise slot receiver. However, things not have not materialized like anyone had hoped. Andy Isabella now finds himself in a precarious situation. Allow me to explain.
What Is The Problem?
Well, how much time do you have? First of all, the Cardinals have this receiver named Deandre Hopkins. Maybe you’ve heard of him. He’s pretty good. The Cardinals drafted Rondale Moore in round two from Purdue in the draft. This put Isabella and Christian Kirk on notice. Here in lies another problem. Kirk has responded, Isabella has not. He can’t even get on the field. It’s time for him to seek a trade and try to salvage his career.
Possible Trade Destinations
The following teams trading for Andy Isabella make perfect sense:
Baltimore
Detroit
Tennessee
Miami
Houston
San Francisco
Indianapolis
None of these teams have a real solid slot receiver in their offense. The Colts have Paris Campbell but he isn’t gaining much traction. The 49ers could add him as new dimension to an offense that is already looking pretty good. The Dolphins are fine outside, but need help inside. The Ravens have been missing this element ever since Lamar Jackson was drafted. People in the Texans organization know how important the slot is from New England ties. The Titans passing attack could use a spark and Isabella may be the guy to bring it to them. The Lions already have a lot of speed from their pass catchers and there is no doubt Andy Isabella is an upgrade over Kalif Raymond. Overall, it’s clear Arizona will not be using him very much with Hopkins, Moore, and Kirk doing well. It is time for both sides to go their separate ways.
