The Las Vegas Raiders have begun their 2022 campaign on the wrong foot, falling to 0-3 so far after their most recent loss to the Tennessee Titans. Suffice it to say, the Raiders are stumbling to find their identity as a team with this bad of a start. Remarkably, the expectation for the AFC West was that every team was capable of being a playoff team. Realistically, that isn’t possible, but the hype was there.

There was even the hot take that the Kansas City Chiefs would finally be toppled by any of their divisional peers, including Vegas. Fans and critics alike are starting to question and panic about the Raiders, as their roster is deserving of a winning record. Additionally, the statistics are not favorable for the organization to make the playoffs. Plus, it appears that ownership is aware of the compounding losses as well.

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, and currently, those are losses – three to be exact. Al Davis’ famous saying of “just win, baby” has yet to stick in Sin city. After this embarrassing start, fans on Twitter have already started voicing their discontent with the coaching situation:

Hard Times For The Las Vegas Raiders

It seems like ages ago that Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock were embroiled in controversy. The Raiders made the playoffs with an interim head coach, their draft picks were still on the team. Flash forward to now and a good chunk of Mayock’s selections are not with the team. Additionally, while the Davante Adams and Derek Carr reunion has certainly been fun for fantasy football managers, they still can’t score enough points to win games in real life. Or rather, the defense can’t seem to stop the opposing team from scoring.

The Raiders are a frustrating team to root for, they made the playoffs last season with an interim head coach and decided to move on with Josh McDaniels at the helm. Famously, he had a rocky tenure as the head coach in Denver. Ever since his firing in the Mile High City, McDaniels has been a long-time disciple of Bill Belichick as his offensive coordinator for the majority of his career. With a team this talented, it’s easy to understand why fans are questioning the coaching. Buckle up, this will be an interesting situation to see unfold in Las Vegas.
