Tom Brady outdueled Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills once again, improving to 33-3 against the Bills. The first half of the game was all Brady and the Buccaneers. Tom Brady was nearly flawless in the first half, throwing the ball, and even running the ball. He accounted for two touchdowns, one rushing, one passing, and ran for three first downs. Bills defense continued its struggles on the offensive and defensive line allowing Leonard Fournette a 47-yard touchdown. The Buccaneers came out with a 24-3 lead at halftime but the Bills would come storming back.

Bills Send I,t to Overtime

As great as Tom Brady performed, Josh Allen was equally as impressive. After a poor first half where Allen received zero help from teammates, terrible blocking by the offensive line, and zero handoffs due to little faith in the Bills running backs. Josh Allen took it upon himself to carry the team back. Allen became the rushing attack for Buffalo by running for 109 yards and a touchdown. Allen also was dicing up the Buccaneers defense through the air as well, throwing for over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns. He brought Buffalo back to a 24-24 tie to send it to overtime. Jordan Poyer and the Bills defense also help led the comeback, holding Brady to just 3 points in the second half.

Brady Puts the Final Nail in the Coffin

On the Bills final drive before overtime. Carlton Davis was holding on to Stefon Diggs, but no penalty was called. Thus, the Bills had to settle for the game tying field goal instead of a first and goal with a chance to win it. After a defensive stop by the Buccaneers, Tom Brady took over only needing a field goal. Of course, Brady came up clutch as always, throwing his 3rd touchdown of the game to seal a victory. Tom Brady played a great game and is the greatest player in NFL history but the refs missed call against Davis in the end helped. Before Brady’s game winning touchdown, Levi Wallace was flagged for a pass interference. This gave the Buccaneers a first down. I have no problem with the penalty but the refs didn’t call the same exact penalty against Carlton Davis before overtime. It has to be the same on both sides, if you’re going to flag Wallace, then you have to flag Carlton Davis as well. Even though the Bills came close, the Buccaneers controlled them for most of the game. The Bills will need to improve the offensive line if they want to make the playoffs. The Buccaneers move to 10-3 and Tom Brady looks to be the MVP favorite.
