With OTAs starting up and training camps coming right around the corner, we thought we’d give our rankings of the top 10 fantasy football QBs for the upcoming NFL season. The QB position is the most important position in football. The Quarterback must be able to take control of the offense by fully understanding the playbook as well as being a leader for his team. These ten players have mastered both those things and will be able to win you your weekly fantasy matchups.

#10 Kyler Murray

Starting off our list is the Arizona Cardinals’ speedster, Kyler Murray. There are many great QBs in this league that would have fit in this #10 spot. What sets Murray apart from the rest is his ability to effectively run the ball as well as throw it downfield. He doesn’t go any higher because of his tendency to dip in productivity in the second half of the season. Also the suspension of top wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins will be a massive hit to Murray and the overall offense.

#9 Tom Brady

The GOAT himself. Tom Brady makes the #9 spot in our rankings. Some would say he should be higher on our list compared to other QBs. He just doesn’t have the skill set that some of the other QBs on our list have. Still, he has players around that will make him a viable option in fantasy football. The Buccaneers have a great offense and defense, enough for Brady to be on this list.

#8 Aaron Rodgers

The back to back NFL MVP makes the #8 spot in our top 10 list. Rodgers may not have the players around him like Brady does but he clearly showed last season that he is able to be much more than just a pocket passer. He showed flashes of his running ability in a number of games last season. And since his favorite target Davante Adams is off in Las Vegas, he may have to start running more. This is enough to put Rodgers just above Brady in our top 10 rankings.

#7 Justin Herbert

The Chargers’ “bright future” might just turn into their bright present with Herbert under center. The Chargers QB has proven to be one of the most accurate passers in the NFL. He can also be quick on his feet when needed. He is surrounded by a relatively young offensive roster as well as a formidable defensive unit to back him up. The Chargers may be one of the top teams in the AFC West and Herbert might just bring them there.

#6 Russell Wilson

Being traded to the Denver Broncos may be the greatest thing to happen to Russ in his career. Wilson is getting upgrades in every aspect of his team. Wide receiver, running back, o-line, and defense. This will help Russ be a major contributor to your fantasy lineup. All Broncos player should be drafted in fantasy this year, especially Russell Wilson.

#5 Lamar Jackson

Starting our top 5 list is Lamar Jackson. He is one of, if not, the best running quarterback the league has ever seen. His ability to juke defenders and throw the deep ball is unlike anyone else in the league. The Ravens lost Hollywood Brown in a draft night trade which will hurt their offense a bit. However, they are getting back a ton of injured players from last season. This team should look much better coming into 2022 and Lamar should be the main reason for that.

#4 Matthew Stafford

The Super Bowl champ, now entering his second year with the Los Angeles Rams makes our #4 spot. We all knew Stafford was one of the great QBs in the NFL but we was unfortunately stuck in Detroit. He showed that a great QB surrounded by a great offense will bring immense success. Stafford plans to carry over the momentum from his Super Bowl win into the 2022 NFL season.

#3 Joe Burrow

Easily one of the most confident players the league has ever since. Joe Burrow has to talent to be a top 3 NFL QB and a top 3 Fantasy Football QB. He has the best wide receiver core in the league, upgrades to his o-line, and a solid defense. Burrow is a recipe for success and should be one of the top QBs taken in your draft.

#2 Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes may be the best QB in the NFL but not the best in fantasy football. He is a great player with unmatched talent. His ability to make average receivers great is unlike any other. But that may just be the problem. The Chiefs don’t have as many offensive pieces as some other teams do. The trading away of Tyreek Hill only makes that point even more true. Travis Kelce is the clear cut number 1 option but after him, we don’t know. Mahomes will still be a value option in fantasy and can win your matchup regardless of who he throws to.

#1 Josh Allen

Josh Allen has it all, the speed, the accuracy, the deep, and the offensive weapons. He checks off all the boxes to be the top QB in fantasy football. I personally drafted him last year and won my league with him and I can assure you will too. He has players like Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Dawson Knox to throw to and arguably the best defense in the NFL. Allen will be the top player in fantasy football in the 2022 NFL season.
