The NFL regular season is in the second half of the season. The pursuit of the Super Bowl is underway. The NFC conference is seen as much weaker than its AFC counterpart. There are teams in the conference that can contend for a Super Bowl.
1. Philadelphia Eagles- #1 Seed in NFC
The Eagles currently have a record of 8-0. Good for not only the best record in the NFC but the best record in the NFL. Philadelphia has been playing good football and has the qualities you want in a contending team. They are very good on both sides of the offensive and defensive line. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has looked like an MVP candidate so far this year. The Eagles wide receiver corps led by A.J. Brown has been one of the NFL’s best units. Philadelphia’s secondary has been consistently good this year. The Eagles are strong in the right places and can win the Super Bowl this year.
2. Minnesota Vikings- #2 Seed
The Minnesota Vikings have the second-best record in the NFL with a record of now 8-1. They are playing at a high level under first-year head coach Kevin O’Connell. The thing that makes them a true contender is that they have found different ways to win. The Vikings are 7-1 in close games this year and make winning plays at the right times. Minnesota showed this in their win over the Buffalo Bills. It did take a little bit of luck, however, a lot of wins involve luck. If Minnesota can continue to make plays when it matters most, they can win it all this year.
3. Dallas Cowboys- #6 Seed
The Dallas Cowboys have a chance to win the Super Bowl this year. Coming off of a bad loss to the struggling Green Bay Packers does bring up concerns. Mike McCarthy does not always put his teams in the best position to win. The team is very good regardless. The defense led by head coach candidate Dan Quinn and superstar Micah Parsons has championship aspirations. When quarterback Dak Prescott was out with an injury, the team was able to rely on their strong defense and the run game. The passing game has had its struggles, but the team has the potential to go as far as Prescott takes them.
