Last week in the NFL saw some shocking upsets. With some of those underdog teams winning, it has started to shake up the NFL. When it comes to NFL week 7, there are some games that could mean so much more later in the season. These are three of the games I see as being the biggest.
3. Colts vs Titans
This NFL week 7 game sees the 3-2-1 Colts travel to Tennessee to take on the 3-2 Titans. For the Colts, they come in off a good and much needed win against the Jaguars. With no Jonathan Taylor or Nyheim Hines, the Colts found a way to get the offense going. Michael Pittman had a career day, going for 13 catches for 134 yards. Alec Pierce had the walk off touchdown in this game too. With Taylors comeback imminent, that was a great showing for the Colts offense to have some life. They will have to do more of the same going against a Titans team coming off a bye.
This game means so much because of what happened last time. Last time these two played, Tennessee beat the Colts in Indianapolis. The Colts are 1-1-1 in division play while Tennessee is 1-0. If the Colts do not win this game against the Titans, it will most likely be Tennessee’s division to lose the rest of the season.
2. Saints vs Cardinals
This is the Thursday night game for the NFL week 7 slate. The main reason this game is so interesting is because of DeAndre Hopkins‘ return. He was suspended for PED violations and this will be his first game of the season. Another reason this game is so interesting is the Kliff Kingsbury–Kyler Murray drama. There are a lot of rumors out there that these two are not exactly seeing eye to eye. With the slow start for the Cardinals, could we see a coaching change? We also might get to see a new wide receiver for the Cardinals with Marquise Brown out.
For the saints, they are just as equally as messy. The Saints are 2-4 and seem to be struggling with injuries. The reason this game means so much to them is the division is still for the taking. The Buccaneers are the most human they have ever looked. The Falcons seem to be legit contenders for the division. As for the Panthers, well………..
Regardless, the Bucs, Falcons, and Saints all have a realistic shot of winning the division. If the Saints want to make it more real, they are going to, they have to win this next game.
1. Bengals vs Falcons
This is a game that has potential to be the most fun of the week 7 slate. The Bengals come in off a huge win against the Saints in New Orleans. That game saw the big Ja’marr Chase game we have been waiting to see all season. With Tee Higgins back healthy, this offense looks to get back to where it was last year. For the Bengals as well, this is an opportunity to potentially have the lead in the division if the Browns beat the Ravens.
For the Falcons, they also come into this week off a huge win. They beat the 49ers last Sunday and continue to impress every week. They are tied for the division with the Bucs at 3-3 for each team. This would be a huge win for the Falcons if they beat the Bengals on Sunday. Both of these teams could use the win badly, so this should be an exciting game.
