With Free Agency set to begin in 2 weeks, let’s take a look at the top available players scheduled to hit the open market.
1. Davante Adams, WR – Whether Adams ends up staying in Green Bay or not, he is the best available player on the market. Teams will be getting a receiver that has posted 2,927 yards and 29 touchdowns over the last two seasons.
2. J.C. Jackson, CB – At 26 years old, Jackson has improved every single year since entering the league. The ability to have a lockdown corner is more important now than ever in the NFL. Jackson’s play over the past few seasons has shown he is a corner that can keep up with the best receivers in the league.
3. Terron Armstead, OT – Armstead will immediately help any offensive line. His skill set is very polished. The only concern for him is his health as he has missed a handful of games in his career.
4. Chris Godwin, WR – Godwin is set to enter his prime at age 26. He is coming off a torn ACL which will probably cause him to miss a small portion of the upcoming season. However, he would instantly make any offense in the league much better.
5. Mike Williams, WR – Another young receiver getting set to enter his prime, Williams is coming off a career year. He features a very unique skill set that many teams could use.
6. Von Miller, LB – Miller who just won his second super bowl, proved he still has some juice left in the tank. As a veteran that can rush the QB and defend the run, Miller could help any team make a run at the Lombardi trophy.
7. Chandler Jones, LB – A very talented edge rusher with over 100 career sacks. Jones could be a huge help to any team that has struggled to get after the Quarterback.
8. Orlando Brown Jr, OT – Brown is most likely to end up back in Kansas City, but he has shown he can hold his own at Tackle. He would help any team in need of offensive lineman
9. Marcus Williams, S – Marcus Williams is probably most remembered for the play he didn’t make in the 2018 Divisional Round. However, Williams is a very talented safety that does mostly everything right in the secondary.
10. Jessie Bates III, S – In 2021 Bates struggled a lot compared to past seasons. However, his best game of the season perhaps came in the Super Bowl. He covers well, and is a good tackler.
11. Allen Robinson, WR – Robinson has a very underperforming 2021 season, due to multiple factors. Nevertheless, at age 29 Robinson could help plenty of teams that need to add a receiver.
12. Ryan Jensen, C – As one of the more physical lineman in the league. Jensen brings a winning attitude to any offensive line in need of a veteran center.
13. Brandon Scherff, G – Scherff has been one of the better guards in football since being drafted in 2015. His only problem the last few years has been staying healthy.
14. Stephon Gilmore, CB – Gilmore was widely considered the best CB in the league just a few seasons ago. I believe that he still can play at an elite level. Surely, he would be an asset for any team seeking DB help.
15. Carlton Davis, CB – Entering free agency for the first time, Davis should have a number of options. He is a young aggressive corner that has shown lots of potential on the outside.
16. Jadeveon Clowney, LB – Clowney has been a solid player his whole career, and can definitely help a number of teams. His only problem is staying on the field.
17. Mike Gesicki, TE – Out of all the free agent TE’s, Gesicki is probably the best pass catcher and could upgrade a team’s offense right away.
18. Randy Gregory, DE – When Randy Gregory is on the field he usually makes an impact. If he can continue to not get in trouble and stay healthy, he would be a huge upgrade for any team.
19. Tyrann Mathieu, S – Mathieu has had a very solid NFL career. He is a very well rounded veteran that could help a lot of teams competing for a super bowl right now.
20. Jameis Winston, QB – Before his injury last season Jamies was having a very solid season. I believe he can still play at a high level and help a team that needs better QB play.
