In today’s sports world, opinions are everything. They create new stories and add fuel to the fire of some old ones. It’s interesting seeing some people’s opinions. They create rivalries and friendships. However, when it comes to Travis Kelce and Ja’Marr Chase. The former was not happy with Chase’s opinion on Patrick Mahomes. Chase was told that Bengals QB Joe Burrow argued for Mahomes as the NFL’s best quarterback, but responded by asking “Pat who?”
After the comment, Mahomes took note and posted this picture on Twitter.
The topic came up on the “New Heights” podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce. The former said he actually appreciated the trash talk and called it “bold,” though he left a warning for the Bengals receiver too.
“It is what it is, dog. Who doesn’t love some good locker room banter, man?” the Chiefs tight end said. “Shoutout to Ja’Marr Chase for holding it down for his QB, but don’t you ever disrespect Pat Mahomes now. If you wanna talk your s–t, talk your s–t, pimp. You just better back it up.”
Kelce is looking for Chase to back up his talk. The Bengals have been a thorn in the side of the reigning Super Bowl Champions. Last season, the Chiefs got the best of the Bengals after they proved the mayor of Cincinnati wrong. Both players have some good games against the other respective team. So while both may show their due respect, one of the pass catchers will be hearing about from the other if their team gets the upper hand in the 2023 NFL Season.
