This years free agent class for shortstops was very high but the guy that stood out to me a lot was Trevor Story, a 2x All-Star and a 2x silver slugger. This past season Story hit 24 homers .251 batting average and had an OPS of .801. That was semi not his best year but if thats anyones somewhat best year thats pretty impressive. However 2018-2019 was his best years where he hit a total of 72 homers and averaged .876 batting and an average of 2.745 OPS, along with making two all star appearances and winning his two silver slugger awards.

Rafael Devers at Third, Bogaerts at shortstop and Bobby Dalbec and adding Story to the mix, they now have one of the best infields in the whole MLB. Not only does this help the Red Sox this helps them contend and be in the mix with the Blue Jays who also made big changes in the offseason.

Obviously with the greatest Rivalry in baseball between The New York Yankees Vs The Boston Red Sox, every offseason and every chance each fan base can get to brag they will.
